Badminton federation will get caretaker committee as courtroom case halts election

A caretaker committee headed by former President, Francis Obi, was sworn in on Monday to manage the affairs of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria after a courtroom case by one Kenneth Azuine on the eve of the election.

Azuine had on the eve of the election, acquired an interim courtroom injunction stopping the electoral processes and composition of the BFN board.

With badminton within the nation grounded to a halt, the Federal Ministry of Sports activities opted to arrange a caretaker committee with the Everlasting Secretary, Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar standing in for the Minister of Sports activities, Sunday Dare, to swear within the 13-man caretaker committee.

Different members of the committee are Maina Mohammed, Solaja Obiageli, Yusuf Bello, Shehu Sulyman Warah, Tangbe Felix Awala, Tunde Kazeem, George Shitta, Etuku Tenimu, Esther Gidado, Malik Anas, Amb Yahaya Yusuf and Grace Gabriel.

The chairman of the committee, Orbih mentioned that the establishing of the committee was growth as it could try and redeem the misplaced floor occasioned by the lingering crises.
